Brand Foundation

A PERSONAL BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT
CREATING essential photos for your website, social media & marketing
TIMELESS PORTRAITS & BRAND ESSENTIALS THAT FORM THE HEART OF YOUR VISUAL IDENTITY
The Brand Foundation package gives you the essential photos coaches and small business owners need: professional portraits, lifestyle images, and detail photos that reflect your brand’s style and values. These are the photos that bring consistency to your website, social media, and marketing – and help people feel that they already know and trust you.
This session is guided and relaxed. Rather than forcing you into strict poses, I’ll give you gentle direction to help bring out your real expressions and body language. Before the session, we will meet online to plan for contexts, stories, locations and props that are meaningful for you and your brand – and necessary for your website, social media and marketing needs.
These are the images that help you show up with confidence, connect with your audience, and share your message with clarity and warmth.

Yearly Subscription
3 x brand foundation shoots per year
A smarter way to stay visible all year. Your brand is constantly evolving – and so should your imagery.
A Brand Foundation Subscription gives you three strategically-timed shoots across the year, so you always have visual content to fit with the seasons, your marketing campaigns, events – and your business and personal growth (not to mention, new hair cuts!).
Instead of trying to stretch one shoot to cover everything, you can refresh your imagery for new launches, seasonal campaigns, and shifts in direction – without starting from scratch each time. Because we already have a strong visual foundation, each shoot builds on the last, becoming more focused, efficient, and aligned. (And the most common feedback I get from my subscription clients is that they go from dreading photo shoots to longing for the next one we have booked in!)
This is a calm, intentional way to stay consistently visible, with brand photos that always reflect where your brand is now – not where it was six or twelve months ago.
“No other photographer can make me feel as comfortable as you. It’s so fantastic to do this with you.”
– ERICA EKLUND

hair & make-up
I can recommend a wonderful hair & makeup artist that will help you prepare for your shoot if you want some professional help. The aim isn’t to make you over so that you barely recognise yourself. Only to give you all the tools and support that help you to feel your best. Some of my clients get professional help, some do it themselves, and some choose not to wear makeup at all for their shoots. The choice is yours.
stylist
If you want professional help choosing outfits that feel on-brand, but also leave you feeling comfortable and confident (and like yourself!), I can recommend a great stylist and personal shopper.
location hire
One of the first steps of the planning process will be to plan your locations. If it is necessary to hire a venue for the photo session (such as a conference room, an office or ‘working-from-home’ space) we’ll discuss this possibility and any fees that may apply.
I’ve had clients book a night at hotels, spas, cottages and homes – let your imagination run wild.
I don’t work in a studio, but there are some great spaces around, so I can recommend my favourites.

WHERE WILL THE SHOOT BE?
We’ll plan the locations that make the most sense for you and your business.
I want your photos to have depth and a context. I want them to be unique for you and to tell your story, and the location plays a big role in this.
We will work closely together to choose locations that will suit you and your brand, both indoors and outdoors. I will offer suggestions, but because I want the photos to be personal to you, you will play a role in finding locations that feel right for you.
We could be in your home, at the beach, in a forest, in an office environment, a hotel lobby, in the city, at a rooftop bar, a cosy café, shopping at a local market – you get the point.
The possibilities are endless and will depend on your personality, your lifestyle, your brand, the season, and the feeling you want your images to have.
Many of my clients ask friends for location tips and even borrow spaces that they have access to. Photo studio spaces or conference venues are available for hire at a range of prices as well, and we can discuss this possibility if you would like.
Cafes and hotel lobbies (basically any locations that aren’t booked and where other guests will be) may require permission to take photos there. From experience I’ve learned that my clients have the best chance of getting a ‘yes’ when they ask than if I ask in advance. (Usually it’s no problem to just give it a try during a quiet time and just ask the staff on the spot if they mind us taking a few discreet photos. Since we’re not a big production team needing to take over the space with extra lighting it’s usually no problem. For this approach I usually have a Plan B to fall back on.).
DO WE HAVE TO HAVE THE SESSION IN STOCKHOLM?
Not at all! Don’t let your location hold you back. Personal brand photography sessions are not only limited to Stockholm. My aim is to make this process as easy and efficient as possible, so if I can save you time by travelling to you, don’t hesitate to ask. Prices for travel available on request.
I’m also available for international bookings, so don’t hesitate if you’re located outside of Sweden (or if you want an international location).
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'STORY'?
Rather than focusing on the number of poses or locations, I like to plan my photo sessions around the stories we want to capture. You can see these as different situations in your professional life and that make up the person you are. We tend to look first at routines and habits and take it from there.
One story would typically result in a variety of images from one location and some examples could be: your morning routine (breakfast? yoga? a run? decked out on the couch trying to wake up?), journalling, natural portraits, a conversation or meeting at a cafe or your workspace, behind the scenes showing how and where you work, at a speaking event.
What all the stories have in common is that they are authentic situations that are not formally styled, posed or studio-based. Despite the fact that we are creating the situations ourselves (rather than capturing organic moments throughout your day, paparazzi-style), I want to make them feel as genuine as possible. I work primarily with natural-light, with an emphasis on capturing moments as they naturally unfold (with just a bit of direction to make sure that we capture the best images possible for your brand).
Don’t be afraid to incorporate personal stories into your photos. Your audience wants to see themselves in your story, to resonate and connect. By sharing what is important to you (to who you are as a person as well as in your work), it builds trust and helps potential clients to be convinced they you are the exact person they need.
I'M NOT SURE WHAT PHOTOS I NEED.
I’m here to help. We’ll start with a questionnaire and an online chat so I can get to know you and your business. We’ll dive deep into who your ideal clients are, your ‘why’ and the message you want to communicate with your photos and this will help us to work out which photos and stories we should plan for.
WILL THE PHOTOS BE EDITED & FORMATTED FOR MY WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA?
Yes! The session is just the tip of the iceberg as most of the work goes on behind the scenes. I’ll choose my favourite photos from the session and edit them. This includes adjusting contrast, shadows, highlights etc and converting certain images to black and white if that would suit your brand and the specific images.
During your session, I will keep your needs in mind. For example, if you need a full-width banner for your website with space for text, I’ll photograph with this in mind.
Purchased images will be downloadable in full resolution and optimised for social media and web (if required). I will provide the largest sized images possible so that you can then crop them to suit the specific places where you are going to use them. For example, a wide image is best for a website banner, a vertical crop is usually best for Instagram so that your image fills the screen of a mobile.
Permission will be given to publish images on social media and web for an unlimited length of time (all details will be outlined in the contract you will be sent on booking your session).
WHAT IF THE WEATHER'S BAD?
In the days leading up to the session, I’ll keep a close eye on the weather forecast.
It’s usually no problem to work around the weather. If we’re outdoors, we can either embrace rain, snow and wind and include it in your photos for extra effect or move to an indoor location. We’ll decide together the best way to deal with it – either reschedule the session, choose a different location or just embrace it.
I'M REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
Don’t worry!
I am really uncomfortable in front of the camera too (or at least I used to be), which I think is why I work the way that I do and why I love storytelling photography. I’m really laid-back and my greatest aim is to help you relax and be yourself because this will result in great photos.
I will give you things to do, think about and talk about to elicit natural expressions, gestures and to take your focus off the camera. I will constantly be hunting for that twinkle in your eye and genuine reactions. Give yourself permission to just be you.
My aim is to capture your authentic personality and body language, not to create a fake persona or to force you to pose in a way that you never would in real life.
We’ll set up a scene and I’ll give you a chance to settle into the situation. You’ll hear me say quite often ‘How would you normally sit in a situation like this?’, ‘Imagine you were just standing here waiting for a friend, what would you normally do with your hands then?’, ‘Is it natural for you to put your hands in your pocket/tuck your hair behind your ear etc?’. Instead of forcing you into a pose, I’ll let your body language lead and I’ll then make adjustments and give suggestions so that it works for the camera.
I want you to keep in mind though, that even if I will do my best to help you to relax, I’m not a magician and my camera isn’t a magic wand. I’ll look for the best light and angles, I’ll do what I can to create the right atmosphere for the type of photo we’re taking, but I see this as a creative collaboration.
You need to give yourself permission to have fun and relax. The more relaxed you are, the more you trust me and my process and the more accepting you are of who you are and how you look, the better the results will be. If you spend the photo session wishing you weighed less, were 10 years younger, or were anything other than the perfect soul you are, this tension and doubt will show in the photos.
If you struggle with this, let me help you. I see your strengths. Let me help you share that. (And trust me, I’ve been there, done that. I know how it feels. I also know that life is too short and your message is too important not to share.)
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
There’s no one-size fits all list of rules for choosing outfits (at least not in my opinion). I’m happy to give you tips on what will work best for your photos and if you’re choosing between different outfits you are welcome to send me photos so I can help you to choose.
It can be good to have a few outfits for your session (3-5) so that you have some variety in your photos. Since you will most likely be sharing quite a few images on social media, it’s great if you’re not wearing the same clothes in each photo.
Aim to have a different outfit for each story we are capturing. You can even add variety to a story by adding and taking away accessories like jackets, jumpers, jewellery etc.
Some general thoughts:
- choose colours that work with your skin & hair colour (you know, the colours that you instinctively know you look best in).
- wearing black close to your face can make you appear tired and emphasise dark eyes and lines (while lighter colours tend to add a pop of light, fills in the shadows and gives the appearance of smoother skin and a sparkle in your eye).
- I tend to suggest avoiding bold patterns because it can take the focus away from you and it also dates the photos faster (meaning that you’ll get sick of them sooner) – but if you’re a bold-pattern-lover, go for it.
- wear sizes that fit well and that you feel great in.
- if you’re going to worry about the fabric not sitting right or if it’s a fussy outfit that needs a lot of attention to get it looking right, avoid that outfit. I’ll pay attention to the details and adjust if needs be, but in the moment, I’ll choose expression over perfection every time.
- keep your brand colours in mind when you choose your outfits. You don’t necessarily have to wear your brand colours, but what you wear should harmonise with them so that when you share the photos they won’t clash. (Having said that though, don’t be afraid of a pop of colour for contrast.).
CAN I HAVE MY HAIR & MAKEUP DONE?
Of course! I work with a wonderful team that does great work (and makes my clients feel amazing). Just let me know if you’re interested and I can send you the price and we can book it in.
On the morning of your photo session, my wonderful hair and make-up artist will travel to your home or hotel to get you ready.
We’ll work together to get the timing just right, but you should allow about 1.5 hours for hair and make-up.
WHEN WILL I PAY FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?
A deposit of 20% is invoiced on booking to confirm session date and the remaining balance is due one week after the photo session.
The session is officially booked when the deposit has been received.
If you have a subscription you will pay per month for 12 months.
I'M INTERESTED IN THE YEARLY BRAND PHOTO SUBSCRIPTION.
I love the subscription and really think it’s the dream solution for a lot of my clients.
