HEALTHY PHOTO SESSIONS & MY PLAN WHILE WE’RE DEALING WITH COVID-19
Things are just all over the place at the moment, aren’t they?
I wanted to update you on what I’m doing to care for both my clients and myself during this time. Unless we go into complete lockdown, I’m still booking photo sessions, but I’m taking extra precautions to make sure we all stay well.
HEALTHY PHOTO SESSIONS
Now that the weather is warming up and the light’s returning to Stockholm it’s a great time to make the most of all of my favourite outdoor locations. Gamla Stan, lakes, beaches, forests, jetties, Slakthusområdet, the city centre. We have so many options. If you want, we will even be able to hold part of our session at indoor locations that aren’t crowded.
My favourite lenses don’t let me get too close to you anyway, so nothing needs to change there. These lenses mean beautiful softness, dreamy light and soft backgrounds that really make you pop.
On my sessions it’s only you and I. I don’t work with assistants, unless you have hair and makeup done, which means that we won’t need to risk spreading any unnecessary germs with extra people.
If I’m travelling to you from Stockholm, I’ll either travel by car (alone) or take the train. I’ve checked on how SJ is handling the virus situation and I feel safe travelling by train at the moment. You can find out more here if you’re curious.

WORKING REMOTELY, CONNECTING DIGITALLY
Actually, my work days haven’t changed much. My photo sessions will go head as planned. Before my sessions I have a planning meeting to go over all of the details and to give us a chance to get to know each other. Sometimes this is in real life over a cup of coffee, sometimes it’s online. For now, I’ll just be moving all of these meetings online.
YOUR HEALTH COMES FIRST
I’m following all of the recommendations out there, washing my hands, socially distancing, and following best practices to protect the health and wellbeing of myself, my family, my clients and the community. My plan is for sessions to go ahead as planned, but I’m extra aware of any signs of illness and won’t hesitate for a second to postpone a photo session if it’s necessary and will be flexible if you need to change the date of your session.
My standard procedure is to invoice 20% of the session fee on booking. The final balance is not due until after the session. This means that if we need to postpone the session due to illness or changed quarantine rules, I will change the due date of the final invoice. Images will be delivered after payment has been received.
A payment plan may also be set up if you need to pay off your session fee over a few months. Let me know if you’re interested in this option and we can talk about how that would work.
I will continue to keep an eye on the situation and make further adjustments to this action plan if and when necessary.
