What is your story? Your why?

Running a business is tough and no one does it just for no reason. More often than not, we start a business to help others – whether it’s to make other people’s lives better, more beautiful, easier or to help them succeed in achieving their goals. Whatever your WHY, your voice needs to be heard so that your message gets out. If not, it won’t reach the people who need you, whose lives will be LESS without you and your business.

‘Yeah, everyone’s a photographer these days.’

The internet is a noisy place! If you just get online and search for ‘coach’, ‘photographer’ or whatever it is that you do and your town, you’ll see that there are so many people doing the same type of job. Trust me. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve heard people say: ‘Oh you’re a photographer? Yeah, everyone’s a photographer these days.’. When I was first starting out, this would completely deflate me and I’d be ready to sell my camera gear. I’ve finally realised something though.

Do you want to know my secret?

No one else is YOU! It’s actually rare that I get these comments these days, but when I get them I can proudly say, ‘Well, yeah, there are a lot of people who take photos, but no one else does it like I do. No one else sees the world as I see it.’. Do you have any idea how freeing that is? It opens up a whole new world full of colleagues and community instead of competitors. There are enough clients out there for everyone, we just need to make sure we’re seen and heard so that we can connect with those who need and want those things that make us unique. No one has your unique qualities, your passion, your way of connecting and your way of seeing the world. This is what is going to set you apart. While you are hiding behind a bad website, blurry profile photos and random stock photos, your tribe is waiting for you. They need you, whether they know it or not.

Professional, but approachable

I was thrilled when I had the chance to work with Nina from Boustedt Konsult AB. She’s an HR consultant and just through reading her blog and social media posts I could see that she really knew what she was talking about and she seemed so nice. She’s so knowledgeable, interesting and relatable. I knew I wanted to get to know her better, but I also knew she needed new photos because otherwise her message risked getting lost in the crowd. I wanted to give her photos that screamed ‘professional, but approachable’. Photos that helped attract her ideal clients, who would arrive at her beautiful, professional website and know that they had found exactly what they had been searching for. Professional photos leave a mark on your visitors and followers and help them attach a feeling of quality to your brand. I love seeing Nina’s photos in action on her new website: www.boustedtkonsult.se. It’s so professional and clean and gives just the right impression to her potential clients. Get in touch if you’re interested in booking your own personal brand session. The best part is that I’m offering a special price until the end of September.
