MY ANTI-HUSTLE APPROACH TO PLANNING YOUR VISUAL CONTENT (& A WINTER BONUS FOR YOU)
As we head into the Swedish winter, we tend to slow down & reflect – which makes this the perfect time to plan your visual content for the year ahead.
I know you might be starting to wind down for the year, but hear me out.
You’ve got momentum and clarity from this year and your clients’ needs are at the top of your mind (not to mention you still have some of summer’s energy left in your bones).
So why not make the most of that?
HOW WE'RE PLANNING FOR EMMA'S YEAR OF VISUAL CONTENT
Last week I had a Visual Brand Strategy Session with my subscription client, Emma Jägbeck – the landscape designer behind OAS Design.
We’ve just wrapped up her three Brand Story (photo & film) shoots for the year, so it might seem early to already be looking at the plan for next year. (You can see more from Emma’s 2025 sessions here.)
But I’ve realised that for myself and my clients, this is the perfect time to do it!
You know how much easier it is to get things done when you’re already in motion? Planning your brand stories now is much more powerful and efficient than if you try to force it after the winter hibernation.
A STRATEGIC PLAN BASED ON EMMA'S GOALS FOR 2026
During Emma’s session, we planned all three of her 2026 shoots:
- Late winter / early spring
- Late spring / early summer
- Late summer with a touch of autumn cosiness
This birds-eye view gives us a full year of intentionally planned visuals for:
- a website refresh
- social media (always having something relevant and on-brand)
- seasonal content
- digital products (and launches)
- lead magnets and marketing materials
It also helps her bring clients into the journey: from that first spark of curiosity, to the creative design phase, to the transformation people feel when they step into a space created just for them. Our job is to capture both the craft and the feeling so that they can see themselves in her content.
And it works. Every year, I watch subscription clients grow faster and with more ease because their visuals actually support their goals instead of reacting to them.
IMAGINE STARTING THE NEW YEAR WITH A CLEAR PLAN FOR YOUR VISUAL CONTENT
This strategy has been game-changing for me.
I can end the year with so much energy, motivation, confidence and clarity, but after taking a break for winter I struggle to remember who I am, what I do and what I want to say.
But I think I’ve finally cracked the code – which set me up for my best Q1 and best year yet.
30 MINUTE EXERCISE
THREE QUICK WAYS TO PREPARE YOUR BRAND FOR THE NEW YEAR
1. Review your 2025 images
Which ones no longer match the direction you’re heading? This helps you see what’s missing.
2. Look at your calendar for next year
Launches, projects, seasonal shifts, busy periods – these all need visuals. Getting a birds-eye view of the phases of your business year saves you stress later on.
3. Identify one story you want your brand to tell more clearly
Connection and trust grow when people see not just what you do, but how you do it. This helps shape your next shoot.
CLAIM YOUR WINTER BONUS
As an incentive to plan ahead, I’m offering a winter bonus.
If you book a 2026 Subscription, Brand Foundation Session or Brand Story Session by Tuesday 18th November, you’ll get 10 extra photos.
Value: 4 500 SEK
If you join the yearly subscription, this applies to each of your shoots – which means 30 extra photos for the year.
It’s a small incentive that makes a big difference when you’re building a library of on-brand, personality-driven visuals.

And whether you book or not, take a few minutes this week to look at your 2026 visuals. I have a really good feeling about the year ahead of us, and planning ahead means getting off to a calm and confident start.
